Looking for the parents of Elmer and Etna Rosengrant, believing the parents to be Tamar Doan/Doane and a Mr. Rosengrant. The Doane's were from Bucks Co., Pa., moved to Canada. I believe Etna to be born in 1822, in Iowa,(male). Mother Tamar/Tamer was born 1800 in Canada, or Pa. (am leaning towards Canada. She married James Phipps in 1827, in Iowa. I have run across several spellings for Rosegrant/Rosengrant/Rosingrant/Rosingout. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have a Thomas Doan (believing to be Tamar's father) purchasing land in the Bronson Land office in Michigan on September 10, 1838, and also a Henry Rosekrans purchasing land the same place and date. Could they be the fathers of Tamar and Mr. Rosengrant? Thank you; Tonya
