Hello Rhonda. The parents of Jane Rosamond who married James Liddell in SC were Capt. Samuel Null Rosamond and Sarah Hodges.

Samuel's parents were John Roseman and Sarah Willson Roseman of Augusta County, VA. Besides Samuel they had four other children, James, Margaret, Sarah and Jean.

I am descended from James Rosamond. Unfortunately we have been unable to figure out exactly who his wife was. Margaret married Bartholomew Weems, Sarah married Richard Hodges who was the brother of Samuel's wife. Jean never married.

I have copies of the wills of James, Samuel and Jean. Also, the majority of my database is posted on gencircles.com. As there were numerous Samuels and Johns, I suggest you search on Sarah Willson (two l's) and then select the particular child, in this case Samuel, that you are interested in.

I have a fairly complete genealogy on this family on gencircles.com. Also, FYI, Capt. Samuel Rosamond had a plantation in Anderson County, SC which still belongs to one of his descendants. The name of the plantation was Rose Hill. Note that this is not the famous Rose Hill which is farther north in SC and belonged to some famous person who I can't remember off the top of my head. I do have a picture of the home that someone faxed me from SC, but it is a poor copy. However, if you email me offline, I'll be glad to forward a copy to you.

My Rosamond genealogy webpage is at http://frepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~rosamondgenealogy/. If I can help with anything else let me know.
