I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . One of our men is John Rose who enlisted 11 Aug 1862 at Columbus, Columbia Co. WI. He was discharged 30 Jan 1863. There was a John who enlisted 15 Feb 1865 as Christopher Rose in 1st MN Heavy Artillery. Was he the same person? John m. Nannie E. b. 1840, d. 1911. John d. 1905 & is buried at Hillsided Cemetery, Winnebago City Twp., Faribault Co., MN. This is all the information we have. If you can help us fill in any of our blanks we would be grateful.
