I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . One of our men is John Rose who enlisted 11 Aug 1862 at Columbus, Columbia Co. WI. He was discharged 30 Jan 1863. There was a John who enlisted 15 Feb 1865 as Christopher Rose in 1st MN Heavy Artillery. Was he the same person?
John m. Nannie E. b. 1840, d. 1911. John d. 1905 & is buried at Hillsided Cemetery, Winnebago City Twp., Faribault Co., MN.
