After checking on Rootsweb.com ....TREES, there appears to be much confusion on this entire family group. There is another Levi Rose that married (Ross Co, OH) Alice Nicholas and it seems many have linked the kids of your Levi rose to this one.
Ordering a copy of John henry Rose's death record may offer more clues regarding their mother. Also ordering a death record for Roy Rose.

***on the 1900 OH, Pike Co census Levi & Sarah J Rose state married 20 yrs. But no way to know if its your Levi Rose or not. Might try ordering a copy of the original record and see if their are more clues on it.

Could Roy's middle name have been Laurence....for his mother's maiden name??? Just a thought.
Your Levi Rose is still alive for the 1920 OH, Pike Co census and he is now married to another Sarah 45...they are both married 2time, 5yrs. They have a son Eddie 4 bn OH and her Hatfield children from previous marriage are also living with them.

Levi, Sarah, Eddy (14), and two Hatfield stepchildren are living there.
1930 OH, Pike Co, Mifflin twp
Eddie Rose 25 bn OH.....is listed as half brother and living with Ruebin Hatfield.
