Did some more digging and found a 'tree' that had:
William Rose md Olive Rosella Garland d/o William David Garland and Alpha Irene Dickerson. I found Olive on the the 1910 KA census with her parents which supports this. This tree also had dob for Olive 17 Jan 1900 in Galena, KS.
There is no info on William Rose on this 'tree' just that he married Olive.

I cant find them on the 1920 KS census although the 1930 says they were their having their kids. I did find them on the 1930 with your Orville:

1930 MO, McDonald Co, Buffalo twp, Dist 3, h/h 173
Rose, William 31 md @18 bn KS MO MO farmer
Olive 30 md @17 bn KS MO KS
Eldon 11 bn KS
Maxine 10 bn KS
Orville 7 bn KS
Also found this, looks like your Olive death/Social security record. Note the dob is the same & you mention Michigan in your query:

Name: Olive R. Rose
SSN: 384-20-7800
Last Residence: 97233 Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, United States of America
Born: 17 Jan 1900
Died: 27 Jun 1993
State (Year) SSN issued: Michigan (Before 1951)

Didnt answer your William Riley Rose question but this will give you some leads. There are several William R. Rose that are good possiblies that died in Michigan. Do you have any idea where in Michigan they were?? Let me know and I will see if I can find his death record.

Take care,
Marsha
