I have been told that Benjamin Rose, Sr. who married Lucy Harper on 12 November 1787 in Southampton County, Va.,
moved to Johnston County NC shortly after the marriage. They had two daughters and four sons: Nicholas, Benjamin, James, and Thomas. James m. Edna C. Harper, and after his death she removed to Hardeman Co., Tenn. with the children. I do not have specific documents on this.
