Help disproving a theory concerning Emma Rose

I need some assistance disproving a theory concerning the maiden name of my great-grandmother Emma. So far, I have found no one left in the family who may have known the name.

Emma F ????? married Neely N. Daniel in 1900, maybe after the census was taken since they are not listed together anywhere. In 1910, they were living in Slickford, Wayne County, KY with 5 children. The census lists her age as 22, which places her birthyear in 1888. Since the mountain folk seldom moved far from home then, I searched the 1900 census for Wayne County and found the only qualifying entry, an Emma Rose, born in KY in 1888, listed as the stepdaughter of one Isaac Clark, who married Nancy J ????? in 1896. Since I could find no record of this family in Wayne County in 1910, I thought to search the 1890 census to find her. However, the 1890 census for most of the states was destroyed in a fire.

Is Emma Rose, listed in the 1900 census, the same person as Emma F. Daniel listed in the 1910 census?
