Sylvester Rose was the son of George Washington Rose and his third wife. Sylvester was born 3 April 1872 (g.s.), Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee, died 4 September 1946 (g.s.) Eaton, Gibson County, Tennessee. He is buried there at the Walnut Cemetery, formerly known as Bellvue Cemetery. Sylvester married 25 June 1894, Bonicord, Tennessee, Anna Eliza Payne, born 26 December 1876 (g.s.), died 25 June 1938 (gr.), buried with husband. He was a farmer.
