Madeline M. Rose, 100, Coeburn, VA, passed away Saturday,
March 28, 2009, in the Mountain View Regional Medical
Center, Norton, VA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garcie Rose; a
son, Jimmy D. Rose; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Rose; and
two grandchildren.
Surviving are her son, Ronnie W. Rose and his wife Carol
of Bristol, VA; three sisters, Dolly Lundy of Charlotte,
NC, Ruthie Dotson, and Edith Hammonds, both of Hampton,
VA; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31,
2009, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Sturgill Funeral Home,
310 Sixth St. N.W., Coeburn, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. in the
Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor R.J. Rose
officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday,
April 1, 2009, in the Greenwood Acres Cemetery, Coeburn, VA.
Sturgill Funeral Homes, 310 Sixth St. N.W., Coeburn, VA,
24230, is in charge of arrangements.
