We are looking for the parents of Rutherford P. Rose b. 1812 in SC. He appears in the 1840 census for Cocke Co. TN with wife Elizabeth (Betsy) Lane and three children.
We are certain that Nancy Linetta Rose b. 1808 in SC (she married Thomas Jenkins b. 1804 in TN) is R.P.'s sister. R.P. named a daughter Linetta (Nettie Lee).
Laurena Rose b. 1812/4 in SC married Russell Jenkins and is probably R.P.'s sister.
Green Lee Rose b. 1809 in SC is probably R.P.s brother.
R.P.'s son, Brummett Rose b.1843 married Cynthia "Sithie" Jenkins, grand-daughter of R.P.'s sister Linetta.
Any leads on the parents of R.P.Rose will be appreciated.
