I've tried unsuccessfully for many years to research my Van Horn line. My information starts with a John Van Horn who married Mary Rose. See below. I don't know if the birth/death dates for John Van Horn are accurate. John and Mary had 13 children. If anyone has any kind of connection, I would love to hear from you. I can't seem to figure out who John's parents were.
John Van Horn born October 17, 1793, Somerset County, Pennsylvania and died September 3, 1862, Coshocton County, Ohio. There is a John Van Horn buried in the Burkhardt Cemetery, Coshocton County, Ohio. The death date on the gravestone is September 3, 1862, age 68y10m16d. There are other Van Horns buried in this cemetery but I’m not sure of their connection. Married March 22, 1821, Crabapple Church, Belmont County, Ohio to Mary Rose. Mary born
October 13, 1800, New Jersey and died August 15, 1874, Clay County, Indiana, buried in Sink Cemetery, daughter of Robert Rose and Sarah _______.
