Sorry I dont have an answer for you but did find more data. Your Sidney Rose is on the 1870 & 1880 MO, Wayne County census. If you go to Familysearch.org; appears this could explain the confussion on some of the posted TREEs. There is a submission on Familysearch.org that lists Rolla F Rose as born abt 1788 and dies before 1850. His wife Elizabeth (unknown) bn abt 1780 in SC died aft 1850. 'IF' correct; she is probably the Elizabeth Rose 71 bn SC residing with Perry Rose and his family in MO, Morgan Co. Sadly, household relationships are not listed for the 1850 census so cant be sure. And to add more confusion to the mix, this Perry Rose becomes Perry Ross on the next census. Written as ROP=ROSS. This submitter also lists that Rolla F. Rose bn 1788 is the s/o Mathias Rose and Nancy Ann HICKMAN. The submitter name & address are listed on listing. The TREE below appears to have skipped the first Rolla F. Rose and lists instead the data for a Rolla F. Rose bn 1804, which ofcourse would be to young to be the father of the first three sons listed. Maybe this Rolla bn 1804 is another son, nephew ??? From the quick census check I did on the Rolla F. Rose bn 1804, the last 2 wives & those children seem a good match. The submitter of the TREE is also listed with a 2009 email & web site. http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=myhiles&id=I04944 With luck, maybe one of the above will be able to provide where the names/dates of first 3 listed sons came from. Sons are: John M. ?? Rose b: 1816 in N.C. Sidney Rose b: 1817 Perry ?? Rose b: 1821 in MO. Good luck Marsha Notify Administrator about this message?
