Despite the family story that the wife was Sarah Peyton, the William Rose (b. ca 1812 in NC) who is found in the 1850 census of Carroll Co., MS, married Sarah GLOVER. The 24 Oct 1833 marriage bond survives in the records of Nash Co., NC.
Sarah Glover was a daughter of John Glover (of Nash) and a granddaughter of Thomas Glover (of Nash).
William Rose is DNA marked to be descended from William1 Rose of Surry Co., VA. He was undoubtedly William6 Rose (Amos5, Burwell4, Richard3, William2, William1). --Carl
