An ALL site for research in Slovakia:
www.iabsi.com/gen/public
If your ancestor was naturalized citizen than his naturalization petition should have his "old country" spelling of his surname. It is possible it was ROSKO or ROS'KO.
www.zoznamst.sk
Another document that should have a place of birth and names of parents is SS-5Form. http://ssdi.rootsweb.com
www.surnamenavigator.org
www.slovakfolkcrafts.com
www.helenezx.homestead.com (Slovak Pride)
Maybe even their church marriage certificate or state marriage license might have a place of birth. Lots more places to look for a place of birth.
