"C.W.Boogaart": I would appreciate your addressing the issue I raise regards the complete difference coat-of-arms between the Vossemeer, Zeeland-Roosevelts and our American Roosevelts who our Roosevelt family tradition says came from near HAARLEM, NORTH HOLLAND. I do have a copy of Hoffman's article from the 1933-issue of the NYGBR. He notices the glaring difference, which is a problem, but writes in circular language to atttempt to reconcile a connection with the Vossemeer Roosevelts. Yet, even he acknowledges that there are elements in our coat-of-arms that reflects NORTH HOLLAND design-influence. Our arms reflects that our Roosevelts [ROSENVELT/ROSENFELT] came from NORTH HOLLAND and is a separate & distinct Roosevelt family from those of the south of Holland the Vossemeer Roosevelts. The motto our family NOW bears was later "adopted" from the Vossemeer Roosevelts to comply with propigating of the said Tholen, Zeeland-operation. Respectfully, Gregory Thompson, a ROOSEVELT-descendant, my 7th-great grandmother is ANNA MARGARIET ROOSEVELT m. Heyman Aldertse Roosa the JEW my 7th-great grandfather, she is the daughter of our MARRANO-immigrant ancestor CLAES MARTENSZEN van ROSENVELT/ ROSENFELT from HOLLAND whose family came from near HAARLEM, NORTH HOLLAND, who prior to NORTH HOLLAND came from SPAIN and were ROSSACAMPOS before changing our apellido in NORTH HOLLAND to ROSENVELT/ROSENFELT.
