"C.W. Boogaart": Since you haven't recieved a reply from
the Counsellor-Secretary of HAARLEM, todate, disproofing
the American Roosevelt's c. 300-yrs. old family tradition
of our Roosevelts coming from HAARLEM, NORTH HOLLAND, it
is quite permature to say none exists--as you don't really
know whether any records do or do not exist UNTIL you
receive a response to your inquery.
As to the flood of repeating "evidence"--I apologize.
It is not I--BUT, what cousin FDR, himself an avid genealogist, said about HAARLEM, NORTH HOLLAND, and about
Tholen/Zeeland, his 1938 statement the Delgado interview,
this small piece of critical evidence is selectively &
purposely left out of biographies & histories--except for
Morgan's, as I wrote previously--because it would cast doubt
over Zeeland being the HOLLAND-cradle of we American
Roosevelts and that maybe the lucrative business & prestige
of the Roosevelt Study Center is located in the wrong
"cradle" and that the so-called community of credential
genealogists is wrong--after all, NO proof exists linking
us to Zeeland...even they in the end admit it is ASSUMPTION
AND CONJECTURE. If they are so "professional" & "scholarly"
then why do they not even mention & completely ignore
our c. 300-yrs. old family tradition of coming from near
HAARLEM, NORTH HOLLAND??? And, why do they not even
mention cousin FDR's 1938 state about where our family
came from in HOLLAND and his repudiation of Zeeland???
One doesn't have to be a rocket-scientist to see that
this small BUT CRUCIAL piece of genealogical information
casts doubt over the whole Zeeland-operation. This
dispersion cast over Zeeland is why my said article is not,
to-date, being published either. Only the "officially"
published genealogy will be THE ACCEPTED and anything
countering this "official" party-line of the vested interests will NOT be tolerated and will be dealt with
by a deliberately ignoring of HAARLEM, NORTH HOLLAND,
was well as the possibility of SPANISH JEWISH-roots/
ancestry and the debunking of anybody who even dare
resurrect the NORTH HOLLAND family's tradition...and
even dare to acknowledge, let alone consider, the possibilty
of SPANISH JEWISH-origin--heaven forbid WASP America &
White Europe have heroes who are of/possibly of SPANISH
JEWISH-origin??? By the way, regardless of what Ms.
Milano wrote her last paragraph in reply to Dawn's
posting, I am NOT anti-Semtic. Rather, I AM PROUD of
and ROOSA-lineages so much so that for years I have been
a member of the Simeon Wiesenthal Center and I am also
a member of the American Sephardi Foundation Center for
Jewish History. And where you and the Theodore Roosevelt
Association, of which I am also a member, have rejected
connection of we American Roosevelts, the Library of
the American Sephardi Federation Center for Jewish Studies
located New York, New York, has sent me a THANK YOU LETTER
dated March 27th, 2003, THANKING ME FOR SHARING with them
my family history & the photograph [CLAES MARTENSZEN van
material & the records [is copies of the same material
sent to the archives of the Theodore Roosevelt Association]
of the MARRANO-origins of this family are a welcome addition to our rapidly growing ASF Library. Yet, the
Theodore Roosevelt Association's response, in private
letters and on this website, this forum has, to-date,
been the response noted above Ms. Milano's said reply to
Dawn this website, this forum. And whereas, Ms. Milano
in her said reply to Dawn, the opening paragraph does
use the word "MAY" regards Oud-Vossemeer, the Roosevelt
Study Center in Zeeland, there literature phrases it
so that the impression of the reader is that it is a
historical fact that the ancestors TR, FDR, & ER came
from Zeeland, Holland. You, I, & Ms. Milano know that
this is NOT a "proveable" fact. Which is why she has
had to use "MAY" in her said reply. YET, no mention
is ever made to include the Roosevelt family tradition
of near HAARLEM, NORTH HOLLAND, nor of cousin FDR's
1938 statement regards the family & his repudiation of
the Zeeland business.

Respectfully yours,
Gregory Thompson, the dissenting ROOSEVELT
who acknowledges & is HONORED/PROUD our
as well as, defender of cousin FDR's
1938 & 1935 statements regards where
we American Roosevelts come from in
HOLLAND & repudiation of the Zeeland-
business and our possibility we could
be JEWISH in our distant past.
