C.W. Boogaart:Where's your "proof" for Oud-Vossemeer,
Tholen, Zeeland. There is none. There is nothing in
writing or otherwise linking our American Roosevelts to
the other distinct Roosevelt family of Oud-Vossemeer,
Tolen, Zeeland. Not even a circa 400-yrs. old family
tradition. All you have is the acquiescence of family
members AFTER the death of cousin President Franklin Roosevelt. As neither side of the discussion/debate
can produce the "proof" you are seeking the subject might
be better approached in the context of "best evidence".
FDR & circa 400-yrs. of the family's tradition of near
HAARLEM, NORTH HOLLAND, plus our coat-of-arms, and cousin
RABBI Moline out weigh the mathematics you present as the
being more "logical".
Also, I find it a shame that all of the biographies &
histories written about my 3-famous cousins in discussing
their ancestry selectively fails to mention THE ORIGINAL-
genealogical knowledge of near HAARLEM, NORTH HOLLAND--
said Morgan's biography is the only exception.Instead,
it is the Tholen, Zeeland-business that is propigated.
What the biographers & historians needed to have done
instead would have been to present BOTH the ORIGINAL
family tradition of coming from near HAARLEM, NORTH HOLLAND,
and then its being supplanted by the Tholen, Zeeland-business in the "chronicle"-format as I had did in my first
"Chronicle Research American Roosevelt Family's Cradle in
HOLLAND"-entry from information I had & from information
you supplied showing the development from THE ORIGINAL
near HAARLEM, NORTH HOLLAND, and how it developed to be
down in Oud-Vossemeer, Tholen, Zeeland, in the south of HOLLAND.This would proved the public with the whole
story, letting the public weigh the evidence and decide
for themselves whether HAARLEM or Vossemeer.I have weighed
the evidence and I concur with FDR.You and many of my
contemporary cousins apparently concur with Vossemeer.
And here we have the "mexican-stand-off".Respectfully,
Gregory Thompson, a ROOSEVELT-descendant, my 7th-great grandmother is ANNA MARGARIET ROOSEVELT m. Heyman Aldertse
Roosa the JEW my 7th-great grandfather, she is the daughter
of our MARRANO-immigrant ancestor CLAES MARTENSZEN van
ROSENVELT/ROSENFELT from HOLLAND.
