Hello from Phoenix

I've never seen so many Roosas in one place. I'm out here in beautiful Phoenix...my dad, Albert...came out here in the late fifties...dragging all of us along to find a new start...I imagine. Everyone in the immediate family is gone...making me the lone survivor of THAT line...though I have a son and two daughters to carry on the genes...(strong handsome men and beautiful intelligent women...as you all know)
I'd love hear from anyone who has Roosa stories to tell.
Here's one that I've carried around...and I sure as hell hope it's accurate...because I've told it enough times.

Our ancestors came over on a ship...not long aftr the Mayflower landed...and the ship was called The Spotted Cow.

Also...I was told that EVERYONE with the name Roosa...was related...because our way the hell back ancestors were named De La Rosa...and dropped the De La when they moved to Holland...and added the extra o, because in Dutch..two o's are pronounced the long o.

Please...tell me I'm not full of "stuff"

Thanks in advance.

Alan....

PS...I am feeling a weight lifting from my shoulders at this very moment. It's funny...but after my Mom died...and that left me as the lone survivor of the great westward migration of my family....I was feeling kinda lonely.
I have family I could be in touch with, back East...but I'll be damned if I'm any good at that. I JUST DON'T KNOW THEM. I went back and visited a few years ago...and it was a wonderful visit...but I am such a freaking loner at heart...that I have a tough time connecting. I think I'll fix that...
