My great great grandmother was a Cortright, tracing back through the Van Ettens (to Marinuszen Adriaensen,b 1573 in N.Brabant Netherlands), and through them to A.H.Roosa. They were all baptized, in Holland, and were part of the Dutch Church in New Netherlands. If they were "secret Jews" I have no family "tales" relating such.
BTW I also have family legend of Native American ancestry which so far I have been unable to document.
