Roosa Genealogy and Origin

I have not seen the new book of Roosa genealogy mentioned on this site. Perhaps I have missed it. But it is worth mentioning again, if it has.

The book, by Engel Roosa of The Netherlands (2004) has traced the origins of the Roosa family of Herwijnen, Gelderland, The Netherlands from ancient historical records. it is called:
"De Ro(o)sa's of Herwijnen" (The Ro(o)sa's of Herwijnen) and is in Dutch with a 2 page summary of origins in English. It is a beautiful, thoroughly researched work and certainly refutes (with documentation) the Spanish origin theory that we have long held. It does not show any specific Jewish origin for the family. Ethnicity is certainly not a problem, but accuracy and reliability of documented research is. Many Roosa researchers have contribuited funds for this research to be done and it has resulted in the publishing of this wonderful book. It builds upon the research done by Valentine Van Zee and Marcos Snelling which resulted in the wonderful Roosa/Van Zee website <www.angelfire.com/mt/hist> "A Trip Into The Past: The unofficial Herwijnen page". If you haven't seen it - check it out.
An English language version is now been worked on.
For information about the availability and price of the book you can contact V. Van Zee at <valvz@bellsouth.net>
