I am researching my great grandfather.
John William Roosa married Mary Aanensen on July 20,1884 in Larimore North Dakota. The newspaper article states that he is a native of Warren County Ohio. We have not be able to find a record of his parents name. I have the hospital records form 1900 and it states that his daughter and son in law from Cinncinati, Ohio visited him. This would seem to indicate that he was married before.
Another newspaper article from Larimore, North Dakota is dated May 4, 1882 and states that John W. Roosa of Lebanon, Ohio, having been born and raised in that excellent country, and having since traveled extensively over the east, south and west, has found the county to suit him and he is looking for land to purchase.
If anyone knows about this Roosa I would sure appreciate any information or help you could give me.
We have researched every area of North Dakota and can not find any thing previous to this. Thank you.
