as a p.s. my posting to you of 6/30/03 I recommend a read
of the following tome regards MARRANO-genealogies, such
as us ROOSAs, gives background in context of the
MARRANO-experience, like us ROOSAs, and WHY the histories
of these families, like us ROOSAs, are "hidden" & not all
that well documented via a paper-trail, WHY it is the FAMILY
ORAL TRADITION that is the main primary source regards
MARRANO-genealogies, like us ROOSAs [ROSA/ROSSA/ROZA]:
HIDDEN HERITAGE THE LEGACY OF THE CRYPTO-JEWS by Janet
Liebman Jacobs (2002). I also recommend a reading of
THE MEZUZAH IN THE MADONNA'S FOOT MARRANOS AND OTHER
SECRET JEWS by Trudi Alexy (1993).
Again, I repeat, I do not understand why family members
want to deny who our forefathers told us we are: SEPHARDIC
JEWS of the MARRANO-experience that left ROOSA, CATALONIA,
SPAIN, due to religious troubles finding asylum in the
SPANISH NETHERLANDS in HOLLAND. I, myself, find it a very
great honor to be in-part SEPHARDIC JEW. Too bad other family members want to deny who we ROOSAs are--but, that
is their option. --Gregory Thompson, descendant of
ALBERT HEYMANSE(N) ROOSA the JEW
