Sorry, I have no information on a Edmund Nicholas Roos. So far I am at a standstill for information on the Roos. the only information I have is the following:
". . . . going to America, where an Uncle by the name of GEORGE ROOS was then living. This relative's home was in Duncannon, Perry county, Pennsylvania, and thither young Volzer determined if possible to make his way."
I haven't even been successful in finding George on the census yet. I'll be happy to forward any information I might discover. Good Luck
