I am from the Jacob Roop line when his sons came to the states from Alsace-Lorraine part of what now is france but back in the 1600'sit was part of germany. Jacob had 9 sons that came over. the one that is my gr,gr,gr,gr,gr,gr grandfather is Martin Rupe he changed his last name when he got here but some of his brother changed to Rupp and yet anouther kept the spelling of Roop. so I am waundering if we are all related. please e-mail me at annielrupe@yahoo.com or call me at 308 883 6230
