I am researching the Presley Ray family. His daughter Tabitha (b. abt. 1827, in North Carolina) married Nathaniel Roof in Boone County, Indiana on 2 November 1844. Nathaniel and Tabitha resided in Warren Twp., St. Joseph County, Indiana at the time of the 1850 census. They are in the same household as Peter Roof (b. abt 1785 in Pennsylvania) and his wife Sarah (b. abt 1787 in Pennsylvania).
I find Peter (b. 1785) in the 1860 census, and a girl, Martha, who lives with the Adams Collins family and matches the age of Peter and Tabitha's daughter born in 1847 or 1848. None of the rest of the family is found in the 1860 census
My Great-great-grandmother Marianda Jane Ray lived with Tabitha and Nathaniel at the time of the 1850 census, but by 1860 she is married and living in Hendricks County, Indiana.
What happened to this Roof Family? If they died, does anyone have death dates for them.
