I have some Sheets that signed the Constitution of the Congregation of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Sugar Grove, OH in 1862. This information is found in the "St. Matthew Lutheran Church Records, Sugar Grove, OH" book I purchased from the Fairfield Co. Genealogical Society in Lancaster, OH. Henry James Sheets (note beside his name saying he moved away later) Henry Sheets Anna Sheets Cornelius Sheets Also in this churchbook are listed this birth: Emma Rosetta Sheets, b. ?/ 23/1877, bapt. 4/13/1877, parents Henry and Maria (Miller) Sheets, sponsors Anna and John M. Sheets. Laura Ellen Sheets, b. ?/18/1878, bapt. 4/20/1878, parents H. J. and Alice (Swain) Sheets, sponsors, the parents. Henry James Sheets, b. ?/17/1851, bapt. 6/8/1878, parents William and Isabell (Patterson) Sheets. Bertha Agnes Sheets, b. 2/25/1884, bapt. 3/2/1884, parents ? and Emma (Bauer) Sheets, sponsors Johan and Mary Bauer. William Jacob Ruff, b.3/27/1884, bapt. 7/23/1884, parents Noah and Anna (Sheets) Ruff. On a list of Communicants for 1888 and 1889 by families, these were listed together: For 1888: Henry Sheets, Mary Sheets, Anna E. Sheets, Caroline Sheets, Cornelius Sheets, and Emma Sheets. For 1889: Henry Sheets, Mary Sheets and Anna E. Sheets. Marriage: Noah Ruff to Anna Sheets, 6/28/1883 The following Sheets made contributions for a new parsonage that was purchased in 1873: Henry Sheets $25.00 (the highest amount anyone in the congregation contributed) John M. Sheets $5.00 Mrs. John Sheets $5.00 I've been researching the Ruff families in that area and came across this and thought it might be of some help in your search. Hope it helps.
