Sorry this took so long. "Wash" Roof was my great-uncle and homesteaded a farm south of Thomas, Ok. He is buried in an early day cemetery, Mound of Olives, on Hwy.54 about 3 miles south of Thomas with my grandparents, John and Barbra Roof, Martin and Cintha Roof. He was known as "One-armed Wash" because he lost an arm, and when he died was buried by his arm. I don't know where Ruby is buried.
There is a cemetery fund to try to keep the early day cemetery in shape. The old-timers are gone and the state will not care for it. If you are interested, you can contact me.
