I have traced my Roof line back to Samuel Roof b. 1797 in Shen. Co, VA. He was married to a Dorothy Steffey also from VA in 1819. I found Samuel on the 1830 VA cencus and at the time he had 3 boys and 1 girl. I was hoping that we are on the same line. I am looking for Samuel's father and mother.
