Hi Anne
I will give you all I know about my family. My father was Leslie Roney, born in 1920, His father was Herbert Robert Roney, born in 1890. Both were born in Ashington, Northumberland (a stone's throw from Newcastle). My Great Grandfather was Robert Roney born in 1851 also born in that area. Robert's wife was Jane Maughn or Maun. The family emigrated from Ireland approximately 1840. I don't know if my Great Grandfather had any brothers or sisters. but I faintly recall my grandfather mentioning a n uncle Ben.
