I am looking for info on the family of Ferdinand Roney who came to PA via Canada. He was married to Eleanor Kelly. They had 3 children--Thomas, John and Mary. The children were all born in Beaver Meadows, Carbon County, PA, in the 1840s. Thomas married Catherine Blackwell. John married and was a Civil War veteran. Both Thomas and John moved to Northumberland Co. (Mt. Carmel and Sunbury area). Ferdinand and Eleanor Roney are buried in a little cemetery near Beaver Meadows. The name was spelled Rownin instead of Roney. I also know that John spelled his name as ROANY. I have been unsuccessful in finding the death dates and location for Thomas and his wife Catherine. They sold their home in Mt. Carmel in the 1890s but we do not know where they moved to.
