Clarification: Layton and Elizabeth Romine

I think I need to make a clarification or two.
The 1797 date of the subject line refers to some information which was reported to me but which I have not personally seen. The records are reported to contain the
information that Layton Romine was elected as one of the first deacons of this congregation in 1797. Thus the date of the subject line. However, I decided to be
brief in my post and neglected to change the subject to match the discussion of just the membership list of 1799.
Secondly, in the discussion of estimates of Elizabeth's age, my brain got ahead of my fingers. Elizabeth is said to be 40-50 in the 1830 census, 40-50 in 1840 and
guessed to be 60 in the 1850 census which is difficult to read from the variety of interpretations available in transcriptions.
Hope that clears up the ambiguity in the first post.
