Hi my name is Lisa and my father's name is Albert I Romero. I grew up thinking that I was Mexican Indian. I just recently found out that my dad is 100% Indian. His family claimed to be Mexican because it used to be considered one step up from Indian. My grandmother died when my dad was young in a hospital hallway, they wouldn't treat her because she was Indian. They let her die after 14 hours of waiting for help and then told my dad to take her away. I know that we are Ute Indian and I attended a family reunion in 1990 in Colorado. My dad had brothers, he hasn't kept in touch with. I'm not sure of all of their names, but I remember Frank, Tito and Joe. Please any info would be great.
