It seems like the Romero's have always just kept to themselves.I know very little of my dad's family. What I do know has been in the last couple of years. What started out as an eighth grade project for my kids has now turned into a quest.
I am sorry about your father.Maybe that's why I feel so strongly about finding out who the Romero's are... were, etc. My father is the only one left, that I know of in his family. He is 94 now and I want to let my two boys know who he was and where they came from.
My Uncle Ben had sons.Henry and Richard, I think.I do not know where they are.Borona?
My half brother Mike, grew up with my grandparents. He did not live with my family. He does not know much either, but he did know Carlotta (Lottie) and Mary.I guess they just didn't say much and kept to themselves.
Funny thing, he lives in Chula Vista.I believe in Castle Park area.Is that the name of a high school, or area around there? He is a tv repairman.
When visiting down there last year is the first time I heard of the Morenos. There was an arcticle in the paper about the Chargers quarterback and my brother sent it to me.I thought my boys would get a kick out of it.
I agree, it is a small world.I guess they are second cousins or something.
By the way....what does BRUNO stand for?
I find it ironic that your dad was in downtown San Diego. That's where this family was and spent a lot of years there.
In fact, my dad was a boxer also. A featherweight.Evidently there was quite a colliseum downtown.Lot's of people followed boxing back then.
That's another cooincidence huh?
