Theresa, I agree on the elusiveness. I don't even know my dad's dad, my grandfather's name. I never made it to my sister's..she has my dad's birth certificate..wanted to check the names and dates. After my mom and dad divorced, his family was hardly mentioned, at least for me, the youngest.I don't remember ever seeing him as a child, saw him once when I was a teen. Found him living alone downtown san diego, in a hotel, about10 years ago. Brought him to meet our familes, and had a couple of Sunday dinners, but thats it, he wanted to be alone. When he passed away, we didn't even know. My mom found out thru the SSI, and I beleive he is buried in Riverside. Except for my uncleBruno and his kids, we don't have any contact at all, with the family. Uncle Bruno died about 5 years ago and my dad died about 10 years ago. So my cousins may know more than I do but it has been awhile since I seen them.
Funny you should mentioned the Morenos, my sister in law, wife's sister, knows the Ipaulas, a Samoan family who all played football at Castle Park High. Anyway she met Mrs Moreno at her last birthday party, and all her son's as well. A small world. My son Frank II graduated from CPHS in 1998. My Uncle Bruno's wife was named Rosa. He retired from SDG&E before he died. His famiy lives in Golden Hills.
Frank
