Coincidence?

My great-great grandfather was Bernard Charles Wilder, the son of Leah Romans and Charles Wilder. Charles Wilder and Leah Romans were married in 1814 in Maryland, Otsego Co., New York. There was a "P. Romans" in the 1810 census in that place. I believe "P. Romans" was the father of Leah Romans. Bernard Charles Wilder was Charles and Leah Romans Wilder's 4th child and 1st son. Bernard married Calista Lewis in Freedom, New York and they eventually settled in Macomb Co., Michigan. One of their children was named Eva Bell Wilder and she married Isaac B. Lemon. Their son Frank married Nellie Woodward. Her father's name was Byron Woodward.
