Allen, and they moved to Monmouth, Illinois in 1846.For seven years this was their home and then they moved to Blad Bluff in Henderson county, living there until 1859, when they returned to Monmouth and it has since been their home.To his second marriage, seven children were born, six of whom are now living: Josephine Clark of Des Moines - Sarah Amey Gerlaw, Alfred L. Earp, Mrs. Mary White, Walter C. and George E. Earp of Monmouth.Forty-nine grandchildren survive him.Mrs. Earp, his second wife, died April 29, 1899`
