Hello, my name is Wieslawa Kwiatkowska. I come from Poland.
My father was born in Belarus near to Novogrodek. His mother
and my unknown grandmather was Josepha Romanowski. She came from Porozowo (now: Porazava in Belorus, the region of Vaukavysk and ca. 60miles from Novogrodek). I just know that she was old ca. 25 in 1928. My father said me that very known polish poet of the XIX century - Mieczyslaw Romanowski was in our family, too. My grandmother had probably two brothers, the first, I think yuonger than she was called Alexander. The name of the other we don't know. My grandmather, when she was a child lived in the residence of the family Zaniewski. The residence was called Dyrdomicze. I have never seen my grandmother. I just have photo. She had three children - my father Mieczyslaw, Tadeusz and Stanislawa. Her husaband and my gardndfather Nicolas Sikorski emigrated to South America and then to South Africa, where he died in 1938. I don't know, if our families have common roots. Maybe you know more than me. Please, answer me. Best regards Wieslawa
