Dear Cosmin:

Here is a description of a simple research project, which is more historical than genealogical. I am looking for basic information on one prominent indivual. His name is Manouk Bey Mirzan, and he was 'Prince of Moldo-Valachia'. I don't know at what time this happened but if you know about Moldo-Valachia and their princes and beys you will figure this out quickly.

At this stage I just need very basic information on Manouk: who was he? where was he born and what was his ethnic or religious affiliation? How did he become 'prince' or 'bey', was it hereditary of was he appointed? If appointed by which authority? Any general information on the princes of Moldo-Valachia will be useful but I am mostly interested in this person.

Could you give me an estimate for this small and simple research which is not really a genealogical research? I could find out through the Internet or in history books but would like to know what you can find.

Based on the results of this quick research, I may then need a real genealogical research. But before I decide to do this research I need to have the first basic information. Let me know if this may be of interest to you or someone you know.

Mulsumesc, Xavier.
