With other clues (ie, that they were Lutheran and spoke Saxon German), I believe the village might well be Klein Schenk (Cincsor - Romanian; Kissink - Hungarian) in Saxon Transylvania. The problem will lie in the fact that the Mormons do not have the records for this village in their collection; how would we go about finding civil records.
