My great grandparents were Gabriel and Mary Bank. They came from Szinervalja around 1905. They were Romanian, although thier Ellis Island records (which list them as Gabor and Gaborna) say Hungarian. I know it is the correct people because of the dates and childrens names.
Mary BANK was the only child of Elizabeth and Teodor SILADI.
Gabriel BANK came from a large family that had 2 sets of twins. The only names I know are Emma and Teodor (he was one of the twins).
Anyway, one of thier daughters, Flora, married Nicolae GREAVU and they went back to Romania sometime after 1922. They settled in a small town called Besimbac. Then Floras father gave them the family home in Szatmar Megye. Flora and Nicolae had atleast five children: Gabriel, Mary(Maria?), Helena, Nicolae, and Lilliana.
I would love to find some of our relatives still living in Romania (or here for that matter) to find more family history. Thank you!
