Uncle John Niamtu said that he talked with Joseph Niamtu from Ohio and we are no relation. The reason for this is when the Neamztu's and other families supposedly left Germany the Romanian Government gave all of them the same name "Niamtu" as a group, whether or not they were related. My husband was told this by a former co-worker...whether it's true or not, I don't know. This would explain the no relation thing. I have since yesturday found other parts of the family and I am awaiting a phone call; Tita Niamtu's Daughter's granddaughter. wow! Maybe she knows more, because she was raised around them unlike my husband. Thanks for the website...I will definately check it out. Tonya
