William LEISTER b.12-28-1834 Kingwoit, Kaver Hassen Germany. This location was in his obituary, but I have no idea which country this might have been back in 1834.

This is my g-grandfather and I need to find where in Germany (Prussia) this location. Also, does anyone have any info on his parents or siblings? He died 3-23-1901 in Livingston County, Pontiac, IL (US). I've been told that William might have been spelled Wilhelm back then. Any help will be appreciated.
