SMULTZ Romania?
Posted by: Jessica Herman (ID *****3348) Date: June 15, 2006 at 11:46:09

I found a copy of my great grandfather's WWII draft reg card. His name was Isaac Hershkowitz, born 15 May 1880, age 61 in 1942 when this card was completed. Married to Yetta, worked for Marine Basin Co. Brooklyn. Says he's from SMULTZ ROUMANIA.

We knew he was from Romania, but not exactly where. I cannot find a listing for a Smultz, Smoltz or any variations.

The card is in his handwriting.
