Richard .............I may have a connection for you, as my ancestors are from Uj Arad (now called Aradu Nou, Romania).
My grandmother, Katarina Biringer was born there on Dec 14, 1887 and married Johan (John) Friesz on Aug 2, 1907. They had a son, Jacob then immigrated to Buffalo in 1912. My dad, Frank was born in Buffalo in 1915. The family of 4 returned to Neu Arad/Uj Arad/Aradu Nou in 1920 for a few years, then immigrated to Canada in the mid and late 1920s, along with Katarina's brother, Joseph Biringer. They eventually settled in Niagara Falls ON and Windsor ON.
If these Biringers fit your senario, let me know and we can exchange more information.
