Levai, Levoy, Levay
Seeking additional information about my family:
Kelly,
Here is the information that I know about my family. When I have asked living relatives if they know of any connections in Kisiratos, they have replied something like this, "I know mother wrote to people back in the "old country," "Europe" and one did reply "Austria."
My gr. grandfather, Antal Levai is from Kisiratos, Hungary/Romania (from passport and Ellis). On the Ellis record, it states he had a brother in Kisiratos named Josef who also lived in Kisiratos. And recently, family members have told me of a "half-brother" George (Gyorgy ??) who moved to Pennsylvania. He went by George Levay, lived in Fayette County, PA.His wife was Emilene and they had 10 surviving children: Joseph bef 1908, Julia bef 1908, Frank abt 1908, Rose abt 1913, Elizabeth 1919, William abt 1921, Ethel abt 1922, Victoria abt 1925, Dorothy abt 1927, Lorraine aft 1927.
Antal Levai, b: June 3, 1884, married Veronica Laczko, b: Sep 21, 1887 and her mother's maiden name is Veronica Fekete, her father is Michael (Mihaly ??). This information is from the death certificate of Veronica Laczko. From another document in ?Romanian, I believe the parents of Antal maybe Josef and Teresia Levai.
If any of the above names and dates match please let me know.
