It's just a matter of the dialect, Startz, and Starz, the same pronunciation. For example, Lutz and Luz are the same.
As to crossing the ocean more than once, it had something to do with not taking a risk.
Before they settled in North America, they wanted to make sure the opportunity is there, before they sold everything in the old country.

Vucova, was 'filial' to Nitzkydorf parish. In 1940, the German inhabitants was only about 456.
