Hello, I am trying to gather some information about my father's family. My father's father, Frank Peter Starz, was born 8-1-1900 in Austria-Hungary in the village of Vucova, present day Romania. My father's brother said the name was originally Startz when he immigrated in 1905, he also believes he immigrated twice, once in 1905 and another in 1912...no idea why. The name was supposedly changed at Ellis Island. Any help would be appreciated, I have had no luck finding anything out via the Genealogy.com immigrant lists.
