If your grandfather had social security numbers or was naturalized citizen than you can request those papers and gather some usefull information off of them.
You need to locate a name of a town in order to proceed with the research.

137 COMANs passed thru Ellis Island to America. Might be of some value to look at their manifests.

The Romanian White Pages are listing the name in the city of Bucuresti's phone book.
