The spelling Michal is a Slovak spelling and I do not know if that is also Romanian.

There is a town named Apatfalva in the Csanad megye/ county of Hungary. During A-H dual monarchy there was a town named Apatfalva in the Trencsen megye which is now called Opatovce, Slovak Republic.

http://mapy.atlas.sk for locating a town in Slovak Republic.

What is pointing you towards Romania? I seems to recall your ancestral names like I have posted some info on another born and so far no one has posted any reply.

The name SCHLOSSER lists in Slovak Republic.
