Sorry, not a Caragata or Adamache. Just want to help.

The Romanian phone site is listing the name CARAGATA, ADAMACHE, OPRICA in the city of Bucuresti. I went to look for Caragata and it lists in town of Arad, Mioveni, Bacau, Comanesti, Corbasca, Brasov,Braila, Constanta, Cernavoda,Filiasi, Galati, Draganesti,Toplita,Hunedoara,Fetesti,Sighetu Marmatiei and I only went up to and not including Maramures.
You have a big family in the "old country".

You could send out "few" letters with your family information, your e-mail address and a photo of your ancestor to your family names, of course in the area of your ancestral villages, and see what comes back to you in a form of reply.
